Auction Virgin and Movies

I just had my first on-line auction experience (or any kind of auction, for that matter). You probably heard about an amazing auction organized by Brenda Novak, where all proceeds go to diabetes research. It was for a good cause (and that's exactly the way I tried to explain it to my dh), items were amazing, and it was lots of fun, too. I got outbidded many times, but that's part of the fun!

Now, about the movies. If I do manage to get my homey self there, do you have any advice? There are so many sequels (or what is the right word for the third installment - triquel?) that I absolutely would love to see - Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek the Third, Spider Man, etc. But what if I can choose only one? As for the thing that was obviously created for people like me (homey, see above), i.e. TV, I can't praise enough HOUSE. Love that show! The main character is a real ass sometimes, but that's what makes him so interesting. He's a smart ass, too, and I always found intelligence incredibly sexy. What TV show is your fave and why?

Movies? I've seen Spidy and Pirates (see my blog for reviews!), and will pass on Shrek. I'm really waiting for Oceans 13 (lots of great eye candy), and more than that, the next installment of the Bourne series.

TV? I like house, but don't watch it religiously. I like LOST, because there are so many great characters and a twisty plot that I can't figure out (and don't want to), but my favorite character comes from Prison Break--Michael Scofield. It's not that he's hot (which I think he is), it's that he's smart. And that's just sexy.

I'd pick Pirates out of those 3.

My son LOVES House. I love Gilmore Girls and Supernatural, both in reruns.

I almost never go to the movies. I just don't care for it. We have all the premium stations so I see a fair amount.

I love House. He is awesome. I'm a little stunned by the season finale, however. I've been lukewarm on the Sopranos but this season has been very good.

Marty, thanks, and I can't wait for next installment in Bourne movies. I don't know what takes them so long. As for Prison Break, the reason I watched it in the first place was because of Scofield. Wow!

Mary, I used to love Gilmore Girls. But then, imho, they lost, I don't know, a little charm? I think I like House also because it's so fresh for me. After some time, I might move on onto something else.

I love Grey's Anatomy and The Closer when it comes to tv.

As for movies... I'd go with Pirates. Can't go wrong with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom swashbuckling!

Olga, so glad everyone is home from the hospital--talk about being absent!! I'm up to my eyes in 'stuff' but sorry.
I find LOST very sexy. And Criminal Minds, and Sharpe though it isn't on here :(
Intelligence is a turn on, smarts anyway :)

April, I was so much in love with Grey's Anatomy in the beginning! That's strange about medical shows - while nobody likes to be in the hospital, to watch the drama unfold is so intriguing!

Toni, thanks! Glad to have you back! As for the Criminal Minds, I heard about them, but if I'd switched from CSI SVU, it'd feel like I'm turning my back on them...

For current TV, it's Robin Hood - there isn't anything else on my must see list, yet, but Torchwood, a Doctor Who spin off is coming to TV soon, and then there's series three of Doctor Who to come as well. As far as movies go, probably Pirates of the Carribean

I've started watching 'Starter Wife' and I'm intrigued--hot, wet man in swim trunks, nuff said. It's a look into a lifestyle I'll never have, in a very clever way. Thurday's at 8:00 USA.

Claire, thanks for stopping by! I haven't seen TV series of Robin Hood but watched my share of movies and was always fascinated by that legend. Thanks for sharing!

Jerri, I was at first sceptical about the Starter Wife - too much advertisement, and sometimes I think "I wish I had your problems." But it is funny and sexy, so I keep watching it.
