Your Own Bed

My first week-end at home and not in the hospital for the last 2 months. Yay! Yep, my dearest is finally at home - and sooooooooo happy to be so. Do you know what a luxury it is to wake up in your own bed, and not hospital's bed or chair? Believe me, it's an incredible feeling!

So after making a high stash of pancakes, a huge pot of coffee and other necessary/pleasant things, I can go bloghopping. Another huge luxury! And forgive me the details, but right now I really love my own bathroom with my favorite roses on the shower curtain. So tell me. What are your luxuries in life?

P.S. From bloghopping - Rene has an awesome Th post about STAM and parenthood.

Oh sweetie, so happy your both home *hugs* I can imagine how nice it is to be back in your own surroundings.

My luxuries, gosh. I think ordering a pizza. Nothing picks me up like having a hot pizza or even a batch of bread sticks and marina sauce show up at the door. Other luxuries, a cold pop on a hot day. Or a new book. Had a few unexpected expenses lately, so buying a new book is definitely a luxury for awhile lol

Hugs Olga--so great to read your post! As for luxuries, I just ate mine. Ice cream. Usually with lots of stuff in it, like chocolate cips or little peanut butter cups...mmmm

So glad both of you are home now; ah, the comforts of home.
My luxuries are: cold Pepsi, Macaroons(candy), plain chips with Dill Pickle dip; my own 2 pillows a must for my neck.

Marty, thanks! And oh, ice-cream. I once ate the entire bowl myself. I thought, I'd just have a little. And then a little more...

Robyn, thanks, and interesting, never heard about Macaroons! Are they shaped like Macaroni?

Macaroons are like Maple Bud candy with tiny bits of coconut in them. I so love coconut and chocolate.

Robyn, sounds yummy! Have you tried German cake? The one I tried had tons (okay, kidding) of chocolate and coconut in it. It's my second favorite after strawberry cheesecake.

Olga, I'm so happy for you guys!! I'm glad things are better and you're back home. Luxuries are just the feeling of being home. I always feel it when I've been away for a few days. :) :)

At the moment, it's having my space to myself! I'm feeling strongly about it at the moment because I had someone over to stay for a week (she invited herself, another story) and it was a terrible strain. Now that she's gone, I've reclaimed my space, and even though I am not well at the moment, my sense of "well being" has improved!

But the nice thing I think about one's own bed is your own sheets, especially when freshly washed.

Claire, hugs about the friend who invited herself. It's nice to feel free again, isn't it? And you're right about your own sheets. I love mine, flowers, colors, and all.

Not sure--maybe warm milk when I'm tired. The quilt that my mother-in-law made wrapped around me, and being alone--which I only get when the kids are in school. Did I tell you that this is their last week of school.:o
