Free Books

To celebrate the debut of a wonderful author Kelly Parra whose book GRAFFITI GIRL comes out this May, I'm offering $25 Gift Certificate for my fave store Barnes & Noble. No, you don't have to buy Kelly's book, but honestly, it's terrific! Also, just FYI and because I love her books, let me announce Jerri Drennen has her FIRE & ICE in print now (I'm reading it right now, and it's awesome!).

Okay, everything you need to do is to tell me what kind of a girl/woman you are. For example, I'm a Wonder Woman sometimes - first, I used to cook WONDERful food from simple ingredients, and second, I often WONDER how we manage to survive all these hardships and still smile and look gorgeous. Sometimes I'm a Golden Girl - I mean, I feel like one! And I'm definitely a Cheesecake Girl. No, I don't imagine myself made from it, but give me strawberry cheesecake, and I'll think you're the best person in the world. That's before I'll remember that all that sweetness will go straight to my hips. And I'm definitely a Coffee Girl. Don't wake me up before I have my first three cups of coffee.

Now, your turn! Just post it in the comments, and I'll draw the winner next Friday. Are you a Book Girl?

Oh, wow. I wonder about a lot of things, so I guess I may be a Wonder Woman, too. LOL! And I'm a Diet Coke Girl. It's my favorite drink in the whole world. And I love cheesecake, too. But since I'm feeling like such a copycat *g* I'll also say I'm Snarky/Sarcasm Girl. I'll leave it to your imagination to figure out why.

High, Snarky Girl! And I'm pretty sure I figured out why. And I'm also a Diet Coke girl. Caffeine must be really addictive!

Olga, you have to be one of the best friends I have...smooches.

I'm an introvert but I'm seriously working on that issue. I'm loyal to a fault and I'm a good mother. Oh, and I'm making my famous blueberry cheeescake torte for my daughters band banquet on Thursday, Olga.;)

Kelly, high, Blogger Girl! And you're totally welcome! As for "sweet", thanks, I hope I am sweet, or maybe all that coffee and cheesecake makes me that way?

Jerri, thanks! You make me blush! As for blueberry cheesecake, don't tease me! In fact, I don't think I've ever tried blueberry one - mostly it's for some reason strawberry and cherry. Okay, I'm making myself hungry...

Hmmm... Ii guess I'd be a Wonder Woman too. Maybe we all are in some way. I'm more of a Chocolate than Cheesecake Girl, but we can say Sugar Girl and cover both ;). Mostly I'm a Sucker Girl. Give me a sad story and I'm a guaranteed sucker. That's what my hubby says. But that's a lot better than a Jaded Girl, right?

April, thanks for visiting! I guess we're all in some way Sugar Girls, too. And lol on the Sucker Girl, which is definitely better than Jaded!

I knit, scrapbook, plastic canvas crafts, wreaths from pinecones; I have made tree ornaments for Xmas and decorated bells to hang on door knobs. I try many things and keep almost anything in case I could use it in a craft. I recently took an old lampshad and covered it in wide ecru lace to change the appearance and then pinned on a beautiful blue cameo pin and a couple other pins.

I'm a renovation girl with hammer and tape measure and paintbrush in hand. And a beer (but only at the end of my shift! ;) )

Wow, Robyn, that's impressive! You're indeed one Crafty Girl! It's amazing how you've been able to transform a simple lampshad. I tried knitting and sewing, but didn't stick with it for long...

Meretta, I've always admired women who can renovate (lol on the beer, btw). The furtherst I went in that direction was painting the garage door when I was a child.
