Bahamas

No, I'm still alive and kicking, though I missed the post last week. The dearest person to me is in the hospital again, with the worse things coming. I've been able to comment sporadically but couldn't come up with anything smart, useful or remotely interesting to post. Hospitals and exhaustion suck creativity out of me, and that's my excuse.

I'm a patient and kind person (well, I'm trying!) but sometimes I think: okay, if life gives you a lemon, you can make different things from it. Make a lemonade, get a tequila shot, put it in hot tea (gives a very good flavor!) or simply eat it with honey or sugar. Hey, it's loaded with vitamin C! But what would you do if are thrown into dirt, pardon my French? Hope that it has healing powers?

Now enough whining. I forgot to wear green yesterday (except maybe for my complexion by now), and there was no Irish coffee around. (Does simple coffee count?) Did you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? If so, how? Also, if your life turns into a chaos, how do you keep yourself sane and grounded? Trip to Bahamas - or Ireland - is not an option.

Olga,

I'm sorry to hear your dearest is unwell. I'm sending lots of positive thoughts to you both.

Battling chaos is never easy, but I cut all activities back to the bare necessities. I suggest you do the same! (((Olga))) I'm thinking of you.

Hugs sweetie!! Prayers and angels sent your way. I used to celebrate st. patrick's day with that mcdonald's mint milkshake but they don't make them anymore here :( And I'm no good in chaos, so no words of advice from me

I'm sorry your dear one is in hospital again - here's hoping they're in the best hands possible.

I don't celebrate St Patricks day but it was quite popular in Sydney

I'm sorry about your dear one's hospital stay, how exhausting. Taking care of and worrying about another sucks everything out of you.

We had corned beef and cabbage with a side of Irish soda bread. That's how we celebrate every year.

Oh yeah, I don't deal well with chaos. I tend to lose myself in something else like a video game or a book.

Thank you, Lis! I've never tried a mint milkshake but was known to have a place in my heart - and stomach - for strawberry ones.

Claire, thank you for your support! As for the holiday, it's truly international, isn't it?

Rene, thanks, and I'm wondering what Irish soda bread tastes like... Sounds like you had a happy celebration!

Hugs Olga--I'm sure you are a source of love and support for your dearest. BTW, Irish soda bread is petty good--I leared how to make it a few years ago. Unfortunately, I totally forgot about St. Patty's Day this year. Other things on me mind, lol

Marty, thanks for the hugs! As for bread, I used to bake years ago, but now it seems like it was in another century. Wait a minute - it was in another century. Yep, I have lots of things on my mind, too.

Humor honey, plain humor. To paraphrase Bill Cosby: With humor, you can get through anything.

St. Paddy's? That was the day I came down with the virus. Don't remember much of it.

Bailey, yes, humor is always helpful. Now, where did I drop my smile? Oh, girl, lots of hugs on the virus. Sweetie, I know it was ruthless, and I hope you feel better now. Make it "feel well."

Hugs, Olga! I'm sorry for this tough time and for your dear one. When life is tough, I wish I could give some advice, but I take my tough life moments really hard. I'm just so gratefully when things take a turn for the good!
